Nepal Embassy & NRNA Thailand repatriate students to Nepal

With leadership and coordination from the Nepal Embassy & support from the NRNA Thailand and Nepal Airlines, total 247 Nepali stranded all over the Thailand were repatriated to Kathmandu, Nepal by Nepal Airlines charter flight no. RA 4012 on 17 June 2020.
Those Nepalese were stranded since the lock down and travel restriction imposed due to COVID-19. Stranded Nepalese includes students, intern, victims of the human trafficking, tourists, business person and other visitor to Thailand.
The repatriation was initiated by the Government of Nepal and Nepal Embassy in Bangkok. The NRNA Thailand provide support to the Nepal Embassy by filling the return request forms, arranging transportation for students coming from South of Thailand to Bangkok, arranging accommodation, providing food during their transit in Bangkok, providing information for PCR test and taking some to hospital for the test as per students request.
There were 3 victims of human trafficking who overstayed and unable to pay the immigration penalty before their departure.  NRNA Thailand had supported Nepal embassy to pay their overstay and facilitate their smooth immigration clearance. The NRNA Thailand is working closely with the Nepal Embassy for 2nd charter flight soon, likely to scheduled on 22 June and send all remaining stranded Nepali back to Nepal.
With support and financial contribution from Nepalese and Thai, the NRNA Thailand has been continuously supporting more than 160 Nepalese providing food and arranging accommodation since last 2 months. The  NRNA Thailand thanks to His Excellency Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, ambassador of Nepal to Kingdom of Thailand, Ajan Pranee Sakulpipatana, Honorary Consul from Nepalese Honorary Consulate in Phuket, Nepal Embassy officials,  Mr. Hom Prasad Parajuli, country manager of Nepal Airlines to Thailand, Governor of Phuket and all donors and supporters for support and contribution.
